Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using the GenLyr application or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you agree to these Terms on behalf of that organization.

GenLyr is an AI-powered mobile application that transforms voice input,humming, freestyling, or singing,into song lyrics. The Service includes the mobile app, our website, and any related features, content, or services we provide.

GenLyr is currently in beta. The Service is provided "as is" and may contain bugs, errors, or missing features. We may make significant changes to the Service at any time, including temporarily suspending access for maintenance, updates, or improvements. Beta access may be revoked at our discretion. Any data created during the beta period may be lost when the beta ends, though we will make reasonable efforts to preserve it.

Age requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use GenLyr. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.

Account security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at contact@genlyr.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

Ownership of outputs

Lyrics and other content generated by GenLyr's AI based on your voice input ("Outputs") are provided to you for your personal, creative use. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you own the Outputs you generate.

No guarantee of accuracy or originality

AI-generated lyrics may inadvertently resemble existing works. GenLyr does not guarantee that Outputs are original, accurate, or free from third-party intellectual property rights. Before publishing or commercializing AI-generated lyrics, you are solely responsible for verifying that they do not infringe any third party's rights.

License back to GenLyr

By using the Service, you grant GenLyr a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to use anonymized or aggregated versions of your Outputs solely to improve our AI models and the quality of the Service. We will never publish your Outputs publicly or attribute them to you without your explicit consent.

Your voice recordings

You retain all rights to your voice recordings and any other content you submit to the Service ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant GenLyr a limited license to process it solely for the purpose of providing you with the Service (i.e., generating lyrics from your input).

Prohibited content

You must not submit content that: is unlawful, defamatory, or harassing; infringes third-party intellectual property rights; contains malware or harmful code; or violates any applicable law or regulation.

Data deletion

You can delete your User Content and account at any time from the app (Settings → Danger Zone). Deletion is immediate and irreversible. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.

You agree not to: • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service • Use the Service to train competing AI models • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our permission • Resell or sublicense access to the Service • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law

Free and paid tiers

GenLyr may offer free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store according to their respective terms. We do not handle payment information directly.

Refunds

All subscription purchases are subject to the refund policies of the App Store or Google Play. We do not issue refunds directly. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact the relevant platform.

Price changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices at any time. Price changes will be communicated in advance and will take effect at the start of your next billing period.

The GenLyr name, logo, app design, and underlying technology are the exclusive property of GenLyr and its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or other brand assets without our prior written consent. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved by GenLyr.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GENLYR DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GENLYR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES,INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL,ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO GENLYR IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

You may stop using the Service at any time. You can delete your account from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice,for example, if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, the licenses granted to you will immediately end.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date below and, where appropriate, notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
