1. Information We Collect
Audio recordings
GenLyr requests access to your device's microphone (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO / NSMicrophoneUsageDescription) solely to capture your voice input,humming, freestyling, or singing,and convert it into song lyrics. Audio is linked to the generated lyrics and is retained on our servers until you delete the corresponding lyrics in the app.
Usage data
We may collect anonymous, aggregated analytics (e.g. feature usage, crash reports) to improve the app. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
Account information
If you create an account, we collect the email address you provide. We do not collect payment data directly,payments are handled by the App Store / Google Play.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect exclusively to: • Provide and improve the GenLyr service • Process your voice input and return AI-generated lyrics • Send you important product updates if you have opted in • Diagnose crashes and fix bugs
3. Microphone Permission
GenLyr only activates the microphone when you explicitly start a recording session inside the app. We never listen in the background. You can revoke microphone access at any time in your device settings,the app will still work for all non-recording features.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties. We may share anonymized, aggregated data with analytics providers. We may disclose data if required by law.
5. Data Retention
Audio data is retained on our servers for as long as the associated lyrics exist in your account. Deleting lyrics in the app permanently removes the corresponding audio from our servers. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly from the app (Settings → Danger Zone). Account deletion is immediate and irreversible.
6. Children's Privacy
GenLyr is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date below and, where appropriate, by sending a notice through the app.
